The working group held their town hall event on thursday the 28th of April. There was a great turnout from the community and the need for a representative and inclusive community council to be established was cemented.  

 

There will be a follow up meeting on Thursday the 5th of May at 8.00pm in Sligo Leader offices. The main purpose of the meeting is to review the outcomes from last Thursday night and the next steps in establishing the Community Council. Liam Scollan, who has been involved in the success of Maynooth community council, will be in attendance to facilitate the meeting, and will be supporting the community in developing the inclusive community council structure.
