Hello! I’m Rhona, I’m part of the team at Icecream Architecture. I am a designer, interested in design as a medium to engage and question place-based issues. I hope to create community-centred, delightful design.

I studied product design at the Glasgow School of Art. Here I learnt to use design thinking methods to explore challenges and discover opportunities, with people at the heart of it.

I have had the pleasure of working closely with residents of the Isle of Eigg harshly effected by mainland marine waste. We used design thinking to realise a usefulness, to empower the community. And my collaborative project with Sustainable Futures in Africa was a great opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to build a successful, sustainable community model.

My past projects have focused on sustainability, engagement and networking, integration and wellbeing.

I’m very excited to be a part of Innovating Communities and can’t wait to see what we can accomplish!
