Hi there, I'm Des - the Project Manager on the Innovating Communities team.

I'm a service designer that focuses on supporting communities to get projects off the ground in their local area. I've always been interested in how towns and villages look, act and work together and over the years I've learned useful methods for making sure services and resources are maximised for the good of the community.

In 2010, after training as an architect and working with practices in Dublin I set up icecream architecture - the team who are helping to deliver Innovating Communities. Our team has a wide mix of design skills and a passion to make places better.

Through Innovating Communities, I'm looking forward to meeting motivated local people from across the border region and teaming up to create solutions for community projects that make a difference.
