Tackling Plastic Waste Locally Via a "Precious Plastic" Project
Posted by stulawn on Mar 12, 2021
The Precious Plastic project (https://preciousplastic.com/universe/how-does-it-work.html) is a global programme to tackle plastic waste on a local level by setting up local volunteer led workshops and social enterprises to turn plastic waste back into usable products. The programme has developed in the last few years to focus on creating an ecosystem of training and supports that can give people a wide range of new skills and bring economic and environmental advantages to local communities.

I've been using reusable plastic in art projects with Foróige, young people are very concerned about keeping plastic out of the environment. They make nice things too :-)

Also interested to learn more about this initiative. It's difficult to refrain from buying plastic products while on a low income so this is a very welcome project.
