Designing Killeshandra's Future
About the Course
This course focuses on generating community action that will rejuvenate Killeshandra, repurposing general infrastructure such as the library, old bank, railway station and other empty units, bringing services back to the town centre and making it a desirable place to visit, live and work.
Design Thinking skills will be taught throughout this Course to help produce people-focused solutions that you can apply to any future challenges or opportunities. You will also have access to 1-on-1 mentoring from your trainer and co-trainer. Co-trainers are volunteers from your county with knowledge and/or experience in community action.
The schedule will be determined once interested individuals have registered and are ready to begin. Your team will choose between a Sprint Course (21 hours) or Marathon Course(42 hours) and are asked to commit to weekly sessions. Weekly sessions are typically 2 hours long.
