What is a Social Enterprise?
Stage: EMPATHISE
Social Enterprise: An Answer to the Digital Divide

While our surveys are out collecting information, we can look towards the next stage of the challenge; assessing whether a social enterprise can be a solution to the Digital Divide in Co. Louth. The main focus of this session will be an introduction to Social Enterprises. To do this we will have two guest speakers who will give short presentations and have opportunities for questions.
The agenda for the session is as follows:
9:00am - Short catch-up (like last week) on survey progress so far, and anything we need to do to promote it over the next week
9:30am - Presentation followed by Q&A from John Logue, SICAP Social Enterprise Advisor at Donegal Local Development CLG
10:00am - Presentation followed by Q&A from Robbie Norval, Founding Director of social enterprise Lingo Flamingo
10:30am - Quick reflection on both presentations
John will give an introduction to what social enterprises are, Robbie will be sharing his experience of setting up a social enterprise which has a focus on older adults (you can find more information about Lingo Flamingo at: https://www.lingoflamingo.co.uk/about-1).
If you are unable to make the session, but have a question about social enterprises for either John or Robbie post them on the page or send to Neil in advance.
