About the Course

Sligo

This Course is designed to assist community development organisations and facilities in Sligo to identify the needs of their communities, and to discover the various means to action those needs, such as accessing funding, further training, personnel, and outreach. It will bring Sligo groups together to identify priorities and solutions for their towns, villages, and community centres and generate ideas for new services and service delivery around the region.

Our Design Thinking-led training teaches valuable skills that can be used to create people-centred, innovative plans. You will also have access to 1-on-1 mentoring from your trainer and co-trainer. Co-trainers are volunteers from your county with knowledge and/or experience in community action.

This 21-hour Sprint Course consists of high-impact learning and practical activities that will boost the Team's confidence in using these skills and taking action together. Your team is expected to commit to weekly sessions of 2 hours.
